Maps and Semantic Maps 0.7.3 released

Maps 0.7.3 and Semantic Maps 0.7.3 are now available for download.

What's new?

In both extensions some small bugfixes where made. Maps has some new code preparing it to make better use of the new MediaWiki resource loader, but it's not in use yet. Semantic Maps has a new feature which is KML export, via a new result format "kml" it adds to SMW, which opens up a whole bunch of new possibilities.

What's next?

To take full advantage of the new layer handling, and be able to support things like KML overlays for OpenLayers, rewriting of the Maps JavaScript is needed. This rewrite will also allow using the new Resource Loader introduced in MediaWiki 1.17, and getting all it's benefits. For a complete overview of upcoming features, see the roadmap.
